fighters and paladins are unequivocally better at it than anyone else.īlunderbusses are firearms available just a few hours into the game that shoot multiple projectiles. most of the classes that make good tanks are the ones that you'd expect. ![]() Tanking in this game is actually pretty heavily reliant on the deflection stat and (to a much lesser extent) base health pools. ![]() similarly, int doesn't do much for barbarians, but you can play a low-might high-perception/resolve barbarian or a high-might mid-perception/resolve barbarian to similar success. you can play a low-might wizard or a low-int wizard reasonably well, but a low-might low-int wizard won't really accomplish very much. Other than it being BG-esque, that's honestly the biggest appeal to me.Īlso, I'm curious about any class filling a tank role.i mean, there's definitely a great deal of flexibility in how you allocate your stats, gear, and talents, but some classes typically do poorly without at least one of several stats. now that people have played the game (and I have yet to pick it up, probably won't for another month at least), is the whole unusual-combinations-work-just-fine thing really valid? I mean the low Str high Int Barb and vice versa Wizard (or whatever the names are). (Just checked on the Obsidian forums and it looks like I'm not alone with this one, hope they're working on a fix for the next patch!). Means I won't ever get that sceptre, and I hope there are no further quests that require me to go inside or I'm SOL. It was an hour since I'd saved, too, so I wasn't about to revert to a saved game. Unfortunately, when I went back upstairs the entire Sanatorium was now hostile to me and I had to kill a guard and then sneak past all the others in order to prevent massive damage to my Defiance Bay reputation. Nobody down there seemed to care about that. While doing so I found two hostile Flesh Constructs I hadn't previously dealt with, who were even killing inmates and hitting a guard, so I killed them, as you'd expect. I didn't realise she was in the previously empty room upstairs, so went downstairs to see if I could find her there. I later went back to the sanatorium to complete the Ondra's Gift sceptre quest, which involves speaking to Nans. ![]() I've completed the main quest in the sanatorium where the Flesh Constructs turn hostile and have to be killed.
